This hand made ring features a sleek bezel set elongated oval dendritic agate (otherwise known as picture agate) in solid 9ct grey-white gold and contrasting 9ct rose gold. The oval bezel sits central to the rose gold circle that wraps across the top of the finger set within a narrow square profile band. Every edge has been meticulously finished and smoothed off, ensuring that it maintains a beautiful comfort and wearable nature. The dendritic agate piece in this ring is an agate/quartz doublet. Meaning that there is an overlay of clear natural quartz on top of the agate slice. This gives the agate stone an optically domed effect, almost like a specimen inside a bell jar. The stunning natural inclusions in this agate piece are reminiscent of plant foliage. Found in riverbeds at the edges of the largest volcanic basalt region in the world, the Deccan Traps in India, the famed Indian agate specimens were formed 60-80 million years ago. The specimens sold through Susan Ewington Jewellery are sourced directly from the suppliers in India and are believed to be as ethical as possible. Definitely one for the nature lover, this ring evokes a botanical symbolism combined with a sleek modern aesthetic.
