swallow paddle necklace

A paddle shaped pendant hangs from a twisted rope, individually hand stamped with the historical symbol of the swallow. In the Victorian era the swallow simply represented love, and also wanting your loved one to return home safely, faithfully, or just simply to come home soon. Made in solid sterling silver, with an oxidised finish to highlight the rope detail and the illustrative stamping effect of the symbol. This necklace is perfect for layering with other necklaces or own its own. A beautiful everyday favourite. The chain is 45cm long and is made from a strong yet fine curb style link with a bolt ring clasp.
